I was asked to create a design to be used on pouches given to attendees at an Adobe Creative Jam. The art direction was to design something using the mid-century inspired design style I'd posted here on Behance, and to incorporate the Xd elements into the design.

I made a couple of passes at the design on my iPad, with each strand on a different layer, then brought them into Illustrator and combined the strands I liked the most. 

In Illustrator, I created these half-circle like shapes, one solid and one with an arrow inside. I saved images of them, then opened them in Capture and created Shapes of each one. I then used the Shapes in Draw to connect the elements.
